🔨 Makeshift Gear & Early-Game Crafting

Before military-grade equipment is found, rely on craftable makeshift items. Crafting is gated by Crafting Table level.

Makeshift Revolver

Low-tier projectile weapon. Your first ranged option before real guns are found. Craft at Table Lv1.

Makeshift Grenade

Rudimentary explosive device. Useful for clearing clusters but vastly inferior to standard frag grenades (Table Lv3).

Standard Frag Grenade

Unlocked at Crafting Table Level 3. Vastly superior to makeshift counterpart. Essential for Bandit vehicle suppression.

Automated Turret

Unlocked at higher Crafting Table levels. The backbone of autonomous base defense. Deploy 8 minimum for Day 100 viability.

🛡️ Makeshift Armor — The Day 1 Priority

Despite its name implying a low tier, the game's internal code classifies Makeshift Armor as a "Rare" item. It should be your absolute highest priority on Day 1.

The cost-to-benefit ratio is exceptional. At only 1 Metal + 1 Stone, you get 35% flat damage mitigation. Against Bandit knife strikes (40 damage), this reduces incoming damage to 26 — potentially surviving an extra hit that would otherwise be fatal.
